Dvorak, Antonin

Antonin Dvorak(1841-1904), Czech composer, one of the most eminent Bohemian composers, studied music privately, then studied at the Prague Organ School and the Prague Conservatory. From 1892 thru 1895 he taught at the National Conservatory of Music in New York. During June-September 1893, he lived in the Czech community of Spillville, Iowa. He composed 9 symphonies, 11 operas, symphonic poems, concertos(1 violin, 1 cello), chamber music etc.
